Green Teas

Green tea has been widely acknowledged for its potential health benefits including treating headaches, preventing cancers, helping treat and prevent teeth and gum issues, strengthening the body's immune system and assisting in weight loss.

There is a range of existing research and articles that discuss green tea's benefits in terms of preventing cancer and playing a part in weight loss but it is just as interesting to remark that green tea leaves help in teeth and gum health.  After oral surgeries or if you have experienced any form of trauma to the mouth, drinking green tea can greatly help in the healing process.

Green teas contain approximately 5-10% of the caffeine in one cup of coffee.

Most green teas should be steeped for about 1-2 minutes, but of course it depends on the specific type of green tea that you choose so make sure to read the instructions on the tin.

When brewing green teas, the water should generally be heated to between 175-185 degrees (always depending on the specific tea leaves).

"Qing Ming China Lung Ching (Dragon Well)" with "qing ming" meaning "clear and bright."  It is a very popular green tea  from China and one of my personal favorites.  The specific instructions for brewing are to heat the water to 180-190 degrees and let the leaves steep for 1-2 minutes.

I would recommend starting with the Dragon Well because it is universally enjoyed.  There are a wide variety of green teas that exhibit similar flavors.

Another popular green tea is known as "San Xia" which means "Mist on the Three Gorges."
