New technologies bring to light new ethical and legal dilemmas in an increasingly complex society. This collection of brief readings--and the suggestions for writing that follow--focus on four broad questions about the impact of new technologies on society:

Sharing or Hoarding: What forces are shaping the Internet economy?
Biotech Ethics: Who decides what is ethical technology?
Viruses and Other Opportunities: What are the problems with new technologies?
Surfing and Scooting: How will technology change us?

As the issues here change, so will the readings. Please let us know if there are topics that you would like us to consider including.
