Study the slide below, focusing on the following questions:
  1. How legible is this slide? How effective is the choice of typeface? How effective is the use of horizontal lines?

    The slide is very legible. A sans serif typeface is used, and the type size is acceptable. Although the horizontal line separating the heading from the table might be heavier, it is sufficiently clear to chunk the information.

  2. Note the placement of information on the table. Could any of the information be misread or misunderstood? Explain why or why not.

    Yes, the underlined column headings decrease the readability of some words because the descenders (the portions of letters that extend below the baseline) are obscured. The white space between columns one and two is insufficient. For example, the third row may be misread as "Engineering and 6@ 500MHz."

  3. Is the background color an effective choice? Why or why not?

    Yes, the light yellow background provides sufficient contrast with the text and lines, making them more legible.
