Writers in the physical sciences, the life sciences, and mathematics often use the documentation style set forth by the Council of Science Editors (CSE, formerly the Council of Biology Editors). Guidelines for citing print sources can be found in Scientific Style and Format: The CBE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, Sixth Edition, 1994. For citing Internet sources, the CSE endorses the National Library of Medicine Recommended Formats for Bibliographic Citation Supplement: Internet Formats (July 2001).
